This past spring, CFA was lucky enough to receive an invitation from former North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue to participate in a collaborative session with more than 60 educators and NC-based EdTech companies. Helen attended the intense brainstorming event (also known as a Hackathon), which combined the expertise and inspirations of educators, entrepreneurs, and policy makers. EdNC recently published a series of articles about digiLEARN's pioneering efforts to equip all students with the technology to succeed.
During the session, one of the key points that Governor Perdue made is that teachers don't have the time, tools and support to instruct students in the manner that they'd like. Teachers and entrepreneurs nodded in agreement as she spoke. At CFA, a desire to give teachers the tools they need to be more efficient and effective with their time has been a driving mission, so we were proud to work with others to discuss how we can leverage technology to make this possible. The session was inspiring, and we were proud to be part of it!
